Send your fields on a journey.
Field Trek is a module purely for backend administrative purposes. Since it is more like an utility and can be used across different installations it is released under a developer license. This means you only need one license to use it on any EE installation you administer.
What does it do?
Field Trek lets you copy entire field groups including all fields and their settings
- within a site,
- across sites in an MSM-setup or even
- across seperate installations
of ExpressionEngine.
Commercial means you need to purchase a license in order to obtain and use the addon.

I’m having the same drawbacks that you are with the “two weblog entries” calls approach.

I’ve used this with EE1.x. Would love to see an EE2 version! Man that would come in handy. Any chance?

Any hope of porting this to ee 2?

Yeah, but that doesn’t help with fields you need to clone after the fact. Good tip for new fields, though.

No, you cannot clone a field within the same fieldgroup with Field Trek.
However, you can use the browser’s back-button after you submitted a new field and submit the field again. Then the only thing you need to change/enter per field is its name.

Can you copy a single field within the same field group? Essentially clone a field? Don’t want to pay for the privilege of finding out, but if I can will buy right away!
