Moderate Once Documentation
Prerequisites
- Obviously, this extensions does absolutely nothing without the Comment Module installed and being used
- Moderate Once will only examine comments that get closed by ExpressionEngine’s Comment Moderation feature. If that is turned off the extension will have no effect. Comment Moderation is setup per weblog under Admin › Weblog Administration › Weblog Management › Edit Weblog Preferences › Comment Posting Preferences
- It is also recommended that you set “Require email address to post comments?” to “yes” under Comment Posting Preferences. If you don’t and a comment is submitted without email address the extension will gracefully quit.
Installation
- Unzip the file.
- Upload the file ext.moderate_once.php to the extensions-folder inside your EE system directory.
- Upload the file lang.moderate_once.php to the language/english-folder inside your EE system directory.
- In your Control Panel navigate to CP Home › Admin › Utilities › Extensions Manager, find the Moderate Once Extension and click Enable?
- You can now access the extension settings.
Settings
On the settings page you see a list of all weblogs of the current site.
You may set for each weblog how Moderate Once is supposed to behave.
Disabled: Moderate Once will not check for other comments by the same user. All comments that are closed stay closed.
Weblog: The same weblog will be searched for open comments by the same user and the current comment will be excluded from moderation if there are any.
Site: All weblogs belonging to the same site will be searched for open comments by the same user and the current comment will be excluded from moderation if there are any.
Global: All weblogs will be searched for open comments by the same user and the current comment will be excluded from moderation if there are any.
